SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Holveck of Polk presented to the House three teachers and three
students from Cherkasy School Number 27. They are from our sister
state, Cherkasy, Ukraine, and have spent the last week campaigning
for Democratic and Republican candidates, attending political events
and observing the caucuses, as a part of a democracy education
project.
The House rose and expressed its welcome.
On motion by Speaker Siegrist, the House was recessed at 8:58
a.m., until 1:00 p.m.
AFTERNOON SESSION
The House reconvened at 1:08 p.m., Speaker Siegrist in the chair.

Brauns of Muscatine asked and received unanimous consent to
withdraw House File 574 from further consideration by the House.
