The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:48 a.m., Speaker pro
tempore Sukup in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Alan Hazelton, pastor of First
Assembly of God, Harlan.
The Journal of Tuesday, January 25, 2000 was approved.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 2073, by Garman, Davis, Millage, Jager and Cormack,
a bill for an act providing for crediting of telephone rebates for
inmates of correctional institutions to the general fund of the state.
Read first time and referred to committee on judiciary.
House File 2074, by Nelson-Forbes, a bill for an act relating to
the powers and duties of the adjutant general by providing uniformed
honor guards at burial, interment, or memorial services of military
veterans.
Read first time and referred to committee on state government.
House File 2075, by Alons, a bill for an act relating to
certification requirements for the application of substances typically
used for crop production by providing that a fee paid by a person as
part of a required educational program satisfies fee requirements for
family members who concurrently complete the program.
Read first time and referred to committee on agriculture.
House File 2076, by Bukta, a bill for an act relating to windshield
wiper operation and lighted headlamps and making a penalty
applicable.
