COMPANION BILLS RECEIVED On January 27, 1999, House File 146 was received and attached to companion Senate File 49 on the calendar and House File 147 was received and attached to companion Senate File 50 on the calendar. RECESS On motion of Senator Iverson, the Senate recessed at 9:07 a.m., until 4:00 p.m. AFTERNOON SESSION The Senate reconvened at 4:23 p.m., President Kramer presiding. QUORUM CALL Senator Freeman requested a non-record roll call to determine that a quorum was present. The vote revealed 46 present, 4 absent, and a quorum present. INTRODUCTION OF BILLS Senate File 52, by Redfern, Harper, and Fraise, a bill for an act establishing the new criminal offense of interference with a peace officer's service horse, and applying a penalty. Read first time and referred to committee on Judiciary. Senate File 53, by committee on Local Government, a bill for an act relating to the date of the annual sale of parcels with delinquent property taxes and providing an effective and applicability date. Read first time and placed on calendar.
