joint session for the purpose of canvassing the vote for the Governor and Lieutenant Governor. President Kramer moved that the Senate proceed to the House chamber in accordance with House Concurrent Resolution 1, duly adopted. The motion prevailed by a voice vote and the Senate proceeded to the House under the direction of the Secretary of the Senate and the Sergeant-at-Arms. JOINT CONVENTION In accordance with law and concurrent resolution duly adopted, the joint convention was called to order at 1:43 p.m., President Kramer presiding. Senator Iverson moved that the roll call be dispensed with and that the President of the joint convention be authorized to declare a quorum present, which motion prevailed by a voice vote. President Kramer declared a quorum present and the joint convention duly organized. The joint convention stood at ease at 1:45 p.m. The joint convention resumed session at 2:05 p.m. Representative Siegrist moved that the joint convention recess until the fall of the gavel at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 1999. The motion prevailed by a voice vote and the joint convention was recessed. The Senate returned to the Senate chamber and resumed regular session, President Kramer presiding. RECESS
