IMMEDIATE MESSAGES Siegrist of Pottawattamie asked and received unanimous consent that the following bills be immediately messaged to the Senate: Senate Files 335 and 281. RULES SUSPENDED Siegrist of Pottawattamie asked and received unanimous consent to suspend the rules for the immediate consideration of Senate File 366. Eddie of Buena Vista in the chair at 10:02 a.m. Appropriations Calendar Senate File 366, a bill for an act making a supplemental appro- priation for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998, for replacement of certain embedded chips in the technology and equipment of state de- partments and providing an effective date, with report of committee recommending passage, was taken up for consideration. Millage of Scott moved that the bill be read a last time now and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill was read a last time. On the question "Shall the bill pass?" Regular Calendar Senate File 102, a bill for an act relating to nonsubstantive Code corrections, with report of committee recommending amendment and passage, was taken up for consideration. Bell of Jasper offered the following amendment H-1115 filed by the committee on judiciary and moved its adoption: H-1115 1 Amend Senate File 102, as passed by the Senate, as 2 follows: 3 1. Page 9, by striking lines 1 through 4. 4 2. By renumbering as necessary. The committee amendment H-1115 was adopted.
