20 house of representatives shall bear the name of the
21 member or employee's office or staff.
22 Other distributions of pamphlets, material, or
23 other printed literature shall bear their source of
24 origin and be distributed through the legislative post
25 office by completing a form containing a member's or
26 the chief clerk's authorization, with the
27 authorization form attached to one copy of the
28 distribution. The copy with the attached
29 authorization form shall be retained for a reasonable
30 time period by the legislative post office.

3 Printed by the State
4 A member of the house shall not distribute maps,
5 books, and pamphlets such as, but not limited to, How
6 a Bill Becomes Law, which have been printed by the
7 state of Iowa and upon which the name of the member of
8 the house has been affixed unless the member has
9 purchased the materials or unless the member has
10 affixed the words "Paid for by the citizens of Iowa
11 and distributed by representative (member's name)."

15 Documents Signed by the Speaker
16 All acts and joint resolutions shall be signed by
17 the speaker, and all writs, warrants, and subpoenas
18 issued by order of the house, shall be signed by the
19 speaker and attested by the chief clerk. The speaker
20 shall cause certificates of recognition or condolence
21 to be issued by the house which shall be signed by the
22 speaker and the chief clerk.

25 All petitions, memorials and other papers addressed
26 to the house shall be signed by the member and filed
27 with the chief clerk or the chief clerk's staff.

30 Action on a resolution, except a memorial

1 resolution, or a proposition requesting information
2 from a state official shall not be taken until one day
3 after the resolution has been placed on the members'
4 desks. After the resolution is adopted, the chief
5 clerk shall transmit certified copies and have the
6 resolution printed in the bound journal. a resolution
7 may be printed in the daily journal upon the approval
