  1  4 RELATING TO CERTAIN PROCEDURES FOR THE PURCHASE OR CONDEMNA-
  1  5    TION OF INTEREST IN PRIVATE PROPERTY BY A UTILITY SUBJECT TO
  1  6    THE JURISDICTION OF THE IOWA UTILITIES BOARD.

  1  8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  9 
  1 10    Section 1.  Section 6B.2A, subsection 3, as enacted by 2000
  1 11 Iowa Acts, House File 2528, section 3, is amended to read as
  1 12 follows:
  1 13    3.  If the acquiring agency is a person required to obtain
  1 14 a franchise under chapter 478, compliance with section 478.2
  1 15 shall satisfy the notice requirements of this section.  If the
  1 16 acquiring agency is a person required to obtain a permit under
  1 17 chapter 479, compliance with section 479.5 shall satisfy the
  1 18 notice requirements of this section.
