  1  4 RELATING TO FUNDING OF CERTAIN HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS
  1  5    MATERIAL COLLECTION EFFORTS AND EVENTS.

  1  7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  8 
  1  9    Section 1.  Section 455E.11, subsection 2, paragraph a,
  1 10 subparagraph (2), subparagraph subdivision (f), Code 1999, is
  1 11 amended to read as follows:
  1 12    (f)  Eight and one-half percent to the department to
  1 13 provide additional toxic cleanup days or other efforts of the
  1 14 department to support permanent household hazardous material
  1 15 collection systems and special events for household hazardous
  1 16 material collection, and for the natural resource geographic
  1 17 information system required under section 455E.8, subsection
  1 18 6.  Departmental rules adopted for implementation of toxic
  1 19 cleanup days shall provide sufficient flexibility to respond
  1 20 to the household hazardous material collection needs of both
  1 21 small and large communities.  Repayment of moneys from the
  1 22 Iowa business loan program for waste reduction and recycling
  1 23 pursuant to section 455B.310, subsection 2, paragraph "b",
  1 24 Code 1993, and discontinued pursuant to 1993 Iowa Acts,
  1 25 chapter 176, section 45, shall be placed into this account to
  1 26 support household hazardous materials programs of the
  1 27 department.
