1 4 RELATING TO COUNTIES INCLUDED IN THE MID-AMERICA PORT

1 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 9 Section 1. Section 28K.3, Code 1999, is amended to read as
1 10 follows:
1 11 28K.3 JURISDICTION.
1 12 The Iowa counties which shall be included in the
1 13 jurisdiction of the mid-America port commission agreement are
1 14 Jefferson, Van Buren, Wapello, Lee, Henry, and Des Moines
1 15 counties.
1 16 Sec. 2. Section 28K.5, Code 1999, is amended to read as
1 17 follows:
1 18 28K.5 COUNTY ELECTION OF PORT COMMISSION MEMBERS.
1 19 The chairpersons of the Jefferson, Van Buren, Wapello, Lee,
1 20 Henry, and Des Moines county boards of supervisors shall
1 21 jointly elect two members to serve on the port commission.
