House Journal: Page 1691: Thursday, April 16, 1998

 3     1.  Page 45, by inserting after line 25 the
 4   following:
 5     "It is the intent of the general assembly that the
 6   general assembly evaluate the impact of the imposition
 7   of the replacement tax for purposes of determining
 8   whether this subsection shall remain in effect and
 9   whether a determination shall be made as to the
10   necessity of a recalculation as provided in this
11   subsection for tax years beginning after tax year
12   2000."
Amendment H-9219 was adopted.
Larson of Linn offered the following amendment H-9158 filed by
Larson, et al., and moved its adoption:

 1     Amend Senate File 2416, as amended, passed, and
 2   reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
 3     1.  Page 59, lines 9 and 10, by striking the words
 4   "to the maximum extent practicable".
 5     2.  Page 59, lines 17 and 18, by striking the
 6   words "to the maximum extent practicable".
