  provisions and division S-3356B by the committee on Education to
  page 1 of the bill, deferred April 11, 1997.

  Senator Fink offered amendment S-3489 filed by him on April 14,
  1997, to division S-3356B and moved its adoption.

  A record roll call was requested.

  On the question "Shall amendment S-3489 to division S-3356B
  be adopted?" (H.F. 331) the vote was:

  Rule 23, requiring all Senators present to vote except those who
  express a conflict of interest, was invoked.
