  was taken up for consideration.

  President Kramer took the chair at 4:08 p.m.

  Senator Bartz withdrew amendments S-3447 and S-3445 filed by
  him on April 9, 1997, to page 1 of the bill.

  Senator Rittmer moved that the bill be read the last time now and
  placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and
  the bill was read the last time.

  On the question "Shall the bill pass?" (H.F. 383) the vote was:
