1078 JOURNAL OF THE SENATE 87th Day The bill having received a constitutional majority was declared to have passed the Senate and the title was agreed to. UNFINISHED BUSINESS CALENDAR (Deferred April 7, 1997) House File 542 The Senate resumed consideration House File 542, a bill for an act to prohibit acts by inmates of jails or correctional institutions which result in contact with bodily fluids or secretions or the casting or expelling of bodily fluids or secretions on jail and correctional employees, and providing penalties, deferred April 7, 1997. Senator Vilsack offered amendment S-3390 filed by him on April 7, 1997, to page 1 of the bill. President Kramer took the chair at 3:40 p.m. Senator Vilsack moved the adoption of amendment S-3390. Amendment S-3390 lost by a voice vote. Senator Angelo moved that the bill be read the last time now and placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and the bill was read the last time.
