  Senator Hammond offered amendment S-3281 filed by her on
  March 31, 1997, to page 17 of the bill and moved its adoption.

  Amendment S-3281 was adopted by a voice vote.

  Senator Flynn offered amendment S-3324 filed by him from the
  floor to page 20 and the title page of the bill.

  Senator Maddox raised the point of order that amendment S-
  3324 was not germane to the bill.

  The Chair ruled the point well taken and amendment S-3324 out
  of order.

  The Senate resumed consideration of amendment S-3236 by
  Senators Maddox, et al., and amendment S-3309 by Senator Maddox
  to amendment S-3236, previously deferred.

  Senator Maddox asked and received unanimous consent that action
  on amendment S-3309 to amendment S-3236 continue to be
  deferred.
