  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent that
  Senate File 523 be immediately messaged to the House.

  CONSIDERATION OF BILL
  (Regular Calendar)

  Senate File 362

  On motion of Senator Bartz, Senate File 362, a bill for an act
  establishing a wildlife depredation unit within the department of
  natural resources, allowing the discharge of firearms in state parks
  for certain purposes, providing for the issuance of additional free deer
  hunting licenses, subjecting violators to an existing penalty, and
  providing an effective date, was taken up for consideration.

  Senator Lundby offered amendment S-3161 filed by her on March
  18, 1997, to pages 1, 2 and the title page of the bill.

  Senator Bartz called for a division of amendment S-3161: lines 1-
  10 and 17-24 as division S-3161A, and lines 11-16 as division S-
  3161B.

  Senator Lundby moved the adoption of division S-3161A.

  A record roll call was requested.

  On the question "Shall division S-3161A be adopted?" (S.F. 362)
  the vote was:
