  providing for maintenance and repair of out-of-state commercial vehicles and
  providing an effective date.

  Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

  Final Vote: Ayes, 12: Drake, Borlaug, Connolly, Fraise, Freeman, Gettings,
  Halvorson, Jensen, Lind, McKean, McKibben and Rittmer. Nays, none. Absent or
  not
  voting, 1: McCoy.

  Fiscal Note: NOT REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.

  *Pursuant to Senate Rule 40, the Legislative Service Bureau reported
  nonsubstantive changes to the members of the Transportation Committee on
  Senate
  File 379 and they were attached to the committee report.

  EXPLANATION OF VOTES

  MADAM PRESIDENT: I was necessarily absent from the Senate chamber on March
  6, 1997.

  Had I been present, I would have voted "aye" on House File 373, Senate Files

  253 and 251 and the En Bloc Confirmation Calendar.
