  IMMEDIATELY MESSAGED

  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent that
  Senate Files 126 and 145 be immediately messaged to the House.

  LEAVES OF ABSENCE

  Leaves of absence were granted as follows:

  Senators Connolly and Vilsack for the remainder of the day on request of
  Senator
  Gronstal; Senator Lundby for the remainder of the day on request of Senator
  McKean
  and Senator Freeman until she returns on request of Senator Bartz.

  CONSIDERATION OF BILLS
  (Regular Calendar)

  Senate File 59

  On motion of Senator Redwine, Senate File 59, a bill for an act
  relating to the disposition of emergency medical care provider
  certification fees, with report of committee on Human Resources
  recommending passage on February 12, 1997, and report of
  committee on State Government recommending passage on February
  25, 1997, was taken up for consideration.

  Senator Redwine moved that the bill be read the last time now and
  placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and
  the bill was read the last time.

  On the question "Shall the bill pass?" (S.F. 59) the vote was:
