Weigel of Chickasaw asked and received unanimous consent that amendment H-1777 be deferred. Weigel of Chickasaw asked and received unanimous consent to withdraw amendment H-1746 filed by him on April 15, 1997. Weigel of Chickasaw offered the following amendment H-1768 filed by him and moved its adoption: H-1768 1 Amend House File 724 as follows: 2 1. Page 1, lines 13 and 14, by striking the words 3 "with a population of twenty-five thousand or more". 4 2. Page 1, line 17, by inserting after the word 5 "tracts," the following: "block numbering areas, or 6 block groups, or by designating census-designated 7 places". 8 3. Page 1, line 19, by striking the words "with a 9 population of twenty-five thousand or more". 10 4.
