  1  4 RELATING TO THE ISSUING OF TEMPORARY ORDERS FOR SUPPORT,
  1  5    CUSTODY, OR VISITATION OF A CHILD BORN OUTSIDE OF
  1  6    MARRIAGE.
  1  7 
  1  8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: 
  1  9 
  1 10    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  600B.40A  TEMPORARY ORDERS –
  1 11 SUPPORT, CUSTODY, OR VISITATION OF A CHILD.
  1 12    Upon petition of either parent in a proceeding involving
  1 13 support, custody, or visitation of a child for whom paternity
  1 14 has been established and whose mother and father have not been
  1 15 and are not married to each other at the time of filing of the
  1 16 petition, the court may issue a temporary order for support,
  1 17 custody, or visitation of the child.  The temporary orders
  1 18 shall be made in accordance with the provisions relating to
  1 19 issuance of and changes in temporary orders for support,
  1 20 custody, or visitation of a child by the court in a
  1 21 dissolution of marriage proceeding pursuant to chapter 598.
