1 2 #1. Page 8, by inserting after line 31 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "11. The department shall monitor and assess the
1 5 impacts from the social services changes implemented
1 6 pursuant to the federal Personal Responsibility and
1 7 Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996, Pub. L.
1 8 No. 104-193. The monitoring and assessments shall
1 9 include but are not limited to eligibility changes
1 10 involving legal immigrants, federal supplemental
1 11 security income (SSI), and food stamps and the impacts
1 12 of the changes upon state and local jurisdictions.
1 13 The assessment shall include consideration of
1 14 eligibility provisions and public expenditures prior
1 15 to the implementation of the federal law and the
1 16 effects of the eligibility changes upon former
1 17 recipients and public expenditures following
1 18 implementation of the federal law."
1 19 #2. By renumbering as necessary.
