The Senate resumed consideration of House File 2387, a bill for an
act relating to the office of secretary of state and the conduct of
elections and voter registration in the state and relating to corrective
and technical changes to Iowas election laws, and providing an effective
date, and division S-5822D by Senator Gronstal to page 33 of the bill.
Senator Gronstal offered amendment S-5834 filed by Senators
Gronstal and Drake from the floor to division S-5822D and moved its
adoption.
Amendment S-5834 was adopted by a voice vote.
Senator Gronstal moved the adoption of division S-5822D as amended,
which motion prevailed by a voice vote.
Senator Gronstal withdrew amendment S-5560 filed by him on March
27, 1996, to pages 7, 8, 10, 11, 22 and 32 of the bill.
