         Senator Halvorson offered amendment S-5700 filed by the committee
    on Appropriations on April 10, 1996, to pages 2-5, 7-12, 16, 17 and the
    title page of the bill.

         Senator Gettings withdrew amendment S-5713 filed by him on April
    10, 1996, to amendment S-5700.

         Senator Gettings offered amendment S-5759 filed by him from the
    floor to amendment S-5700 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5759 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Dvorsky withdrew amendment S-5758 filed by him from the
    floor to amendment S-5700.

         Senator Douglas offered amendment S-5761 filed by Senators Douglas,
    et al., from the floor to amendment S-5700 and moved its adoption.

         A record roll call was requested.

         On the question Shall amendment S-5761 to amendment S-5700 be
    adopted? (H.F. 2421) the vote was:

         Rule 23, requiring all Senators present to vote except those who
    express a conflict of interest, was invoked.
