  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-5700, to House File 2421, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 48 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "Sec.    .  DIRECTIVES.  The state department of
  1  7 transportation shall consider the location of the Iowa
  1  8 communication network's underground facilities when
  1  9 engineering road construction and repair projects and,
  1 10 where possible, shall engineer projects to minimize
  1 11 relocation of Iowa communications network
  1 12 facilities.""
  1 13    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
