amended out of order.
Senator Palmer asked and received unanimous consent that action on
House File 2423 be deferred.
SENATE INSISTS
Senate File 2154
Senator Bisignano called up for consideration Senate File 2154, a
bill for an act increasing the penalties for certain offenses involving
methamphetamine, amended by the House, further amended by the Senate and
moved that the Senate insist on its amendment.
The motion prevailed by a voice vote and the Senate insisted on its
amendment.
Senator Horn asked and received unanimous consent that Senate File
2154 be immediately messaged to the House.
HOUSE AMENDMENT CONSIDERED

Senate File 2442
The Senate resumed consideration of Senate File 2442, a bill for an
act relating to appropriations for the department of human services and
the prevention of disabilities policy council and including other
provisions and appropriations involving human services and health care
and providing for effective and applicability dates, House amendment
S-5550, and amendment S-5714 to House amendment S-5550, deferred April
12, 1996.
Senator Hammond withdrew amendment S-5714 to House amendment
S-5550.
Senator Hammond offered amendment S-5750 filed by her from the
floor to House amendment S-5550 and moved its adoption.
Amendment S-5750 was adopted by a voice vote.
