APPENDIX EXPLANATION OF VOTES MR. PRESIDENT: Due to a necessary and excused absence on March 21 and 25, 1996, I submit for the record my position and vote had I been present. I would have voted aye on the following: En Bloc Confirmation Calendar; Senate Files 2153, 2364, 2355, 2344, 2433, and 2399; House Files 2477, 2416, 2297, 2472, 2429, 2315, 2258, 2310, 2187, 2152, 210, 2107, 121, 419, 2150, 2127, 400, 2408, 523 and 2061; and amendment S-5439 to Senate File 2355. TOM FLYNNM PRESENTATION OF VISITORS Senator Redfern introduced 17 Russian exchange students from the Russian State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg who are presently attending the University of Northern Iowa during the spring semester of 1996. They were accompanied by Holly Crandall. The Chair welcomed the following visitors who were present in the Senate gallery: Six talented and gifted students from Adair-Casey Community School, accompanied by Jim Simmelink. Senator Douglas. Thirteen seventh grade students from Blakesburg Middle School, Eddyville-Blakesburg Community School District, Blakesburg, accompanied by Maura Young. Senators Hedge, Gettings and Judge. MOTIONS TO RECONSIDER MR. PRESIDENT: I move to reconsider the vote by which House File 2153 passed the Senate on March 26, 1996. LARRY MURPHY MR.
