         On motion of Senator Gronstal, House File 2201, a bill for an act
    relating to defining the practice of dentistry, with report of committee
    recommending passage, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Gronstal asked and received unanimous consent that action
    on House File 2201 be deferred.



                          UNFINISHED BUSINESS CALENDAR

    Senate File 2429

         On motion of Senator Maddox, Senate File 2429, a bill for  an act
    relating to limited liability companies and corporations, including the
    period within which a limited liability company subject to dissolution
    may be continued, use of trade names by corporations and limited
    liability companies, and providing an exemption from the real estate
    transfer tax for certain transfers involving limited liability
    companies, with report of committee on Ways and Means recommending
    passage on March 14, 1996, and placed on the Unfinished Business
    Calendar on March 20, 1996, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Maddox offered amendment S-5430 filed by him on March 20,
    1996, to pages 1, 2 and the title page of the bill and moved its
    adoption.

         Amendment S-5430 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Maddox asked and received unanimous consent that House File
    2370 be substituted for Senate File 2429 as amended.

    House File 2370

         On motion of Senator Maddox, House File 2370, a bill for  an act
    relating to limited liability companies and corporations, including the
    period within which a limited liability company subject to dissolution
    may be continued, and providing an exemption from the real estate
    transfer tax for certain transfers involving limited liability
    companies, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Maddox offered amendment S-5428 filed by him on March 20,
    1996, to page 1 and the title page of the bill and moved its adoption.
