    House File 2324

         On motion of Senator Halvorson, House File 2324, a bill for an act
    relating to state employee disclosures of information and making
    penalties applicable, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Halvorson offered amendment S-5523 filed by Senators
    Halvorson, Lind and Hammond on March 25, 1996, to pages 1 and 2 of the
    bill and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5523 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Priebe asked and received unanimous consent that action  on
    House File 2324 be deferred.



                                BUSINESS PENDING

    House File 334

         The Senate resumed consideration of House File 334, a bill for an
    act relating to the hearing and election provisions of the instructional
    support program of school districts, previously deferred.

         Senator Flynn offered amendment S-5242 filed by him on March 7,
    1996, to strike everything after the enacting clause of the bill.

         Senator Flynn offered amendment S-5537 filed by him from the floor
    to amendment S-5242 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5537 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Flynn moved the adoption of amendment S-5242 as amended,
    which motion prevailed by a voice vote.

         Senator Flynn moved that the bill be read the last time now and
    placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and the
    bill was read the last time.

         On the question Shall the bill pass? (H.F. 334) the vote was:
