         Senator Gettings asked and received unanimous consent that action
    on House File 2229 be deferred.

    Senate File 2104

         The Senate resumed consideration of Senate File 2104, a bill for an
    act relating to state employee disclosures of information and making
    penalties applicable, deferred March 21, 1996.

         Senator Lind called up the motion to reconsider the vote by which
    amendment S-5149 to Senate File 2104 was adopted by the Senate on March
    4, 1996, filed by him on March 4, 1996, found on page 599 of the Senate
    Journal and moved its adoption.

         The motion prevailed by a voice vote and amendment S-5149 by
    Senator Lind to pages 1 and 2 of the bill, was taken up for
    reconsideration.

         Senator Halvorson asked and received unanimous consent to withdraw
    amendment S-5194 filed by Senators Halvorson, Lind and Hammond on March
    5, 1996, to amendment S-5149.

         Senator Halvorson offered amendment S-5522 filed by Senators
    Halvorson, Lind and Hammond on March 25, 1996, to page 2 and the title
    page of the bill and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5522 was adopted by a voice vote.

         With the adoption of amendment S-5522, amendment S-5149 was out of
    order.

         Senator Halvorson asked and received unanimous consent that House
    File 2324 be substituted for Senate File 2104 as amended.
