    Final Bill Action: HOUSE FILE 2387, a bill for an act relating to the
    office of secretary of state and the conduct of elections and voter
    registration in the state and relating to corrective and technical
    changes to Iowas election laws, and providing an effective date.

    Recommendation: DO PASS.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 13: Gronstal, Kibbie, Rittmer, Bennett, Bisignano,
    Dearden, Drake, Fink, Giannetto, Halvorson, Lind, McLaren and Sorensen.
    Nays, none. Absent or not voting, 2: Connolly and Lundby.

    Fiscal Note: NOT REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.



                               EXPLANATION OF VOTE

         MR. PRESIDENT: I was necessarily absent from the Senate chamber
    when the vote was taken on House File 2472. Had I been present, I would
    have voted aye.
