Senate File 2324
The Senate resumed consideration of Senate File 2324, a bill for an
act relating to public assistance and certain associated state tax
provisions involving the family investment program, family development
and self-sufficiency council, individual development accounts, and
fraudulent practices involving the food stamp program, making penalties
applicable, and providing applicability provisions and effective dates,
and amendment S-5219 by Senator Iverson to page 10 of the bill, deferred
March 14, 1996.
Senator Szymoniak raised the point of order that amendment S-5219
was not germane to the bill.
The Chair ruled the point well taken and amendment S-5219 out of
order.
Senator Szymoniak moved that the bill be read the last time now and
placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and the
bill was read the last time.
