                                    COMMERCE

         Pursuant to Senate Rule 59, the committee on Commerce assigned to
    investigate the following governors appointments, completed its
    investigations on February 27, 1996, and recommended the appointees be
    confirmed:

         Michael K. Guttau as Superintendent of Banking.

         Amy M. Britt and James A. Sattler as members of the Title Guaranty
    Division Board.



                             COMPANION BILL RECEIVED

         On February 27, 1996, House File 2211 was received and attached to
    companion Senate File 2262 on the Senate calendar.

    Final Vote: Ayes, 13: Priebe, Judge, Black, Boswell, Douglas, Fraise,
    Giannetto, Hedge, Husak, Lundby, McLaren, Sorensen and Zieman. Nays,
    none. Absent or not voting, 2: Banks and Palmer.
