         I would have voted nay on the motion to reconsider Harold M.
    Thompson and Senate Resolution 17.

         I was also necessarily absent from the Senate chamber on April 25,
    1995, attending the National Rural Conference in Ames.

         Had I been present, I would have voted aye on House Files 489, 559,
    550, 507, 393, 252; Senate Files 394, 256, 390, 459, 150, 93; and the
    motion to reconsider on Senate File 150.
