                      CONFIRMATION OF GOVERNORS APPOINTMENT

                       (Individual Confirmation Calendar)

         Senator Kibbie called up the reappointment of William H. Jackson as
    Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs, placed on the Individual
    Confirmation Calendar on March 29, 1995, and found on page 963 of the
    Senate Journal.

         Senator Kibbie moved that the foregoing appointment be confirmed by
    the Senate.

         On the question Shall the appointee be confirmed? the vote was:
