Senate Journal: Page 579: Thursday, March 9, 1995

         The Senate resumed session at 11:00 a.m., President Boswell
    presiding.

         Senator Bartz offered amendment S-3084 filed by him on March 1,
    1995, to pages 1, 4 and 9 of the bill.

         Senator Bartz offered amendment S-3110 filed by Senators Bartz and
    Bisignano from the floor to amendment S-3084 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-3110 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Vilsack raised the point of order that amendment S-3084 as
    amended was not germane to the bill.

         The Chair ruled the point well taken and amendment S-3084 as
    amended out of order.

         Senator Rife asked and received unanimous consent that action  on
    Senate File 160 be deferred.



                              IMMEDIATELY MESSAGED

         Senator Horn asked and received unanimous consent that Senate Files
    207 and 234 be immediately messaged to the House.



                                     RECESS

         On motion of Senator Horn, the Senate recessed at 11:20 a.m., until
    3:30 p.m.
