                                AFTERNOON SESSION

         The Senate reconvened at 3:32 p.m., President Boswell presiding.

         The Senate stood at ease at 3:33 p.m. until the fall of the gavel.

         The Senate resumed session at 3:36 p.m., President Boswell
    presiding.



                               DISTINGUISHED GUEST

         Senator Neuhauser presented former U.S. Senator Paul E. Tsongas
    from Massachussetts. Senator Tsongas served as a U.S. Representative
    from 1975-1978 and as a U.S. Senator from 1979-1985, and campaigned for
    a balanced budget.

         Senator Tsongas addressed the Senate with brief remarks.
