1 1 Section 1. Section 516D.6, Code 1995, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 3. A rental company shall provide both
1 4 written and verbal notification to a customer of any
1 5 additional charges that the customer may incur if the customer
1 6 returns the rental vehicle to a location other than the
1 7 location from which the vehicle was initially rented.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill requires a vehicle rental company to notify
1 10 customers of any additional charges that the customer may
1 11 incur if the customer returns the rental vehicle to a location
1 12 other than the location from which the vehicle was initially
1 13 rented.
