  1  1    Section 1.  Section 537.1302, Code 1995, is amended to read
  1  2 as follows:
  1  3    537.1302  DEFINITION &endash; TRUTH IN LENDING ACT.
  1  4    As used in this chapter, "Truth in Lending Act" means title
  1  5 1 of the Consumer Credit Protection Act, in subchapter 1 of
  1  6 chapter 41 of U.S.C. title 15 of the United States Code, as
  1  7 amended to and including January 1, 1989 1995, and includes
  1  8 regulations issued pursuant to that Act prior to January 1,
  1  9 1989 1995.  
  1 10                           EXPLANATION
  1 11    This bill amends the definition of the federal Truth in
  1 12 Lending Act for purposes of the consumer credit code to
  1 13 include amendments to that Act through January 1, 1995, and to
  1 14 also include regulations issued pursuant to that Act prior to
  1 15 January 1, 1995.  The date used currently for purposes of this
  1 16 definition is January 1, 1989.
