1 1 Section 1. Section 602.8102, Code 1995, is amended by
1 2 adding the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 7A. Accept and file a facsimile-
1 4 transmitted copy of an order signed by a judge, district
1 5 associate judge, or magistrate, the motion requesting the
1 6 order, if any, and other facsimile-transmitted documents. The
1 7 facsimile-transmitted copy of the order, motion, or other
1 8 document shall be personally presented by an attorney for
1 9 filing in court proceedings.
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill requires a clerk of the district court to accept
1 12 and file a document presented to the clerk in person by an
1 13 attorney which has been transmitted to the attorney presenting
1 14 the document by facsimile machine.
