1 1 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO.
1 2 BY NEUHAUSER AND DVORSKY
1 3 A Concurrent Resolution honoring University of Iowa Women's
1 4 Basketball Coach Angie Lee.
1 5 WHEREAS, University of Iowa Women's Basketball
1 6 Coach Angie Lee, in her first season as head coach,
1 7 led the Iowa Hawkeyes to an overall record of 27-4, to
1 8 the 1995-96 regular season Big Ten Conference Title
1 9 with a record of 15-1, and to a berth in the Sweet 16
1 10 in the NCAA Tournament; and
1 11 WHEREAS, Coach Lee molded her young team into a
1 12 national power, climbing to as high as fifth in the
1 13 Associated Press and USA Today Top 25 Polls; and
1 14 WHEREAS, Coach Lee has been named 1996 Big Ten
1 15 Coach of the Year, 1996 Associated Press Division I
1 16 Coach of the Year, 1996 Converse/WBCA District IV
1 17 Coach of the Year, and 1996 College Sports Magazine
1 18 Division I Coach of the Year; NOW THEREFORE,
1 19 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, THE HOUSE OF
1 20 REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, That Coach Angie Lee be
1 21 congratulated for the well-deserved honors bestowed
1 22 upon her and on her outstanding leadership,
1 23 inspiration, and coaching ability exhibited during the
1 24 1995-96 basketball season; and
1 25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Coach Angie Lee, her
1 26 coaching staff, and the members of the Iowa Hawkeyes
1 27 Women's Basketball Team be recognized for their
1 28 achievements and be extended the best wishes of the
1 29 General Assembly and continued success in the coming
1 30 seasons; and
2 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That, upon passage, an
2 2 official copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2 3 presentation to Coach Angie Lee.
