  1  1    Amend Senate Resolution 5 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 5, by striking lines 1 through 3 and
  1  3 inserting the following:
  1  4    "A senator with a conflict of interest shall
  1  5 publicly disclose the existence of the conflict and
  1  6 refrain from taking any official action or performing
  1  7 any official duty that would detrimentally effect or
  1  8 create a benefit for the outside employment or
  1  9 activity.  For purposes of this paragraph, "official
  1 10 action" or "official duty" includes, but is not
  1 11 limited to, participating in any vote, taking
  1 12 affirmative action to influence any vote, or providing
  1 13 any other official service or assistance that is not
  1 14 available generally to members of the public in order
  1 15 to further the interests of the outside employment or
  1 16 activity."
