CONSIDERATION OF BILLS

Senator Angelo asked and received unanimous consent to take up
for consideration Senate Files 396 and 402.

Senate File 396

On motion of Senator Houser, Senate File 396, a bill for an act
providing for the animal unit capacity of pullets for purposes of
regulation under the animal agriculture compliance Act, was taken
up for consideration.

Senator Houser offered amendment S-3058, filed by him on
March 18, 2003, to page 1 of the bill, and moved its adoption.

Amendment S-3058 was adopted by a voice vote.

Senator Houser moved that the bill be read the last time now and
placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and
the bill was read the last time.

On the question “Shall the bill pass?” (S.F. 396), the vote was:
