SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Prior to convening, Effie Burt of Waterloo sang "What A
Wonderful World", "Sweet Home Iowa", a song she wrote, and "I’ll
Make Me A Home In Iowa" before the House. She was the guest of
the Honorable Willard Jenkins, state representative of Black Hawk
County.
The House rose and expressed its welcome.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Bill Bernau, pastor of Grace
Lutheran Church, Adel, and former state representative from Story
County. He was the guest of Representative Dick Myers from
Johnson County.
The Journal of Wednesday, January 15, 2003 was approved.

regulating certain aspects of prepaid calling services, establishing a
private cause of action, requiring consumer notification of rights,
providing for the establishment of fees, and providing penalties.
