The House met pursuant to adjournment at 1:00 p.m., Speaker
Rants in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Gene Koth, retired pastor of
Walnut Hills Methodist Church. He was the guest of Representative
Petersen of Polk County.
The Journal of Friday, March 7, 2003 was approved.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Speaker Rants.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 488, by committee on local government, a bill for an
act relating to state land management and planning and local land
management and planning for certain counties and cities and
providing effective dates.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
House File 489, by committee on human resources, a bill for an
act relating to programs and services under the purview of the
department of human services, and providing for retroactive
applicability and effective dates.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
House File 490, by committee on local government, a bill for an
act relating to the right of condemnation of owners of certain land
and including effective and applicability date provisions.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
