The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:44 a.m., Speaker

Prayer was offered by Reverend Jim Beranek, pastor of the United
Methodist Church, Pella. He was the guest of Representative Tjepkes
from Webster County and Representative Van Engelenhoven of
Marion County.
The Journal of Tuesday, February 25, 2003 was approved.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House Joint Resolution 5, by Hahn, a joint resolution to nullify
administrative rules of the department of natural resources
concerning methods of taking wild turkey and deer and providing an
effective date.
Read first time and referred to committee on natural resources.
House File 301, by Heaton, a bill for an act relating to the use of
blaze orange apparel by hunters and fur harvesters and subjecting
violators to a penalty.
Read first time and referred to committee on natural resources.
House File 302, by Huser, a bill for an act providing for a length
of service award program for volunteer fire fighters.
Read first time and referred to committee on state government.
House File 303, by Heaton, a bill for an act establishing a school
district transportation levy.
Read first time and referred to committee on education.
