The House met pursuant to adjournment at 1:10 p.m., Speaker
Rants in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Paul Schaedig, pastor of Bethel
Lutheran Church, Parkersburg. He was the guest of Representative
Dix of Butler County.
The Journal of Friday, February 14, 2003 was approved.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by fourteen student officers of the
SODA Group (Students O.K. Without Drugs and Alcohol), and TRY
organizations from Linn-Mar High School in Marion, accompanied by
sponsors, Kevin McCauley, Tony Nichols and Clark Weaver. They
were the guests of Representatives Elgin and Dandekar of Linn
County.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 207, by Greimann and Ford, a bill for an act relating
to the private sale or transfer of firearms between unlicensed persons
and providing penalties.
Read first time and referred to committee on public safety.
House File 208, by Drake, a bill an act authorizing the issuance
by counties of general obligation bonds without an election for capital
improvement projects.
Read first time and referred to committee on local government.
House File 209, by Tymeson, a bill for an act relating to the
repeal of the authorization to impose a local sales and services tax for
school infrastructure purposes and providing an effective date.
Read first time and referred to committee on education.
