sensible changes that would help us place scarce resources where we need them most,
enabling us to deliver affordable and high quality judicial services to the citizens of
Iowa, now and in the future. We cannot act unilaterally; these changes require your
approval. Although we as citizens know of the demands being made upon you, we
trust you will respond to the needs of the justice system. It is in the public interest to
do so.

And finally, we are grateful for our dedicated judges and court employees, whose
collective talents, resourcefulness, and perseverance, enable the courts to make
progress and to pursue our mission with vigor. The ultimate measure of these
dedicated public servants is being proven over and over again in these times of great
challenges.

Thank you.
