  1  1    Amend House File 2578 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 28 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "   .  DEPARTMENT OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS
  1  5    For historical site preservation grants, to be used
  1  6 for the restoration, preservation, and development of
  1  7 historical sites, notwithstanding section 8.57,
  1  8 subsection 5, paragraph "c":  
  1  9 .................................................. $    300,000
  1 10    The department shall give priority in awarding
  1 11 grants to projects for historic landmarks and
  1 12 preserving railroad history."
  1 13    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
