IMMEDIATE MESSAGES
Rants of Woodbury asked and received unanimous consent that
the following bills be immediately messaged to the Senate: House
File 2620, House Concurrent Resolution 123 and Senate File
2286.
ADOPTION OF HOUSE RESOLUTION 130
Rants of Woodbury called up for consideration House Resolution
130, a resolution honoring Virginia Rowen upon her retirement and
recognizing her many contributions to the House of Representatives
and the General Assembly, and moved its adoption.
The motion prevailed and the resolution was adopted.
Senate File 2318, a bill for an act relating to the tax on premiums
and subscriber contract payments received by insurance companies
and health service corporations by phasing in a reduction in the tax
and increasing the prepayment of the tax, providing for a study, and
including an effective date, with report of committee recommending
passage, was taken up for consideration.
The House stood at ease at 4:00 p.m., until the fall of the gavel.
The House resumed session at 6:11 p.m., Dix of Butler in the chair.
QUORUM CALL
A non-record roll call was requested to determine that a quorum
was present. The vote revealed sixty-four members present, thirty-
six absent.
The House resumed consideration of Senate File 2318.
