The House met pursuant to adjournment at 9:31 a.m., Speaker
Siegrist in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Dan Guenther, pastor of Holy
Family Parish, Emmetsburg. He was the guest of Representative
Marcella Frevert of Palo Alto County.
The Journal of Wednesday, March 13, 2002 was approved.
MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE
The following messages were received from the Senate:
Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the Senate has on
March 13, 2002, passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the Senate was
asked:
House File 2183, a bill for an act relating to the authority of the board of directors
of a school district to change the number of directors or the method of election of
directors following a federal decennial census, and providing an effective date.
Also: That the Senate has on March 13, 2002, passed the following bill in which the
concurrence of the House is asked:
Senate File 2296, a bill for an act relating to voter registration forms, registered
voter identification numbers, and voter registration lists.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE
Leave of absence was granted as follows:
Atteberry of Delaware on request of Myers of Johnson; Greimann of Story on

Johnson.
