13 the effective date of this Act, shall be limited to
14 fifty thousand dollars in the aggregate and shall not
15 be allowed unless refund claims are filed prior to
16 October 1, 2002, notwithstanding any other provision
17 of law. If the amount of claims totals more than
18 fifty thousand dollars in the aggregate, the
19 department of revenue and finance shall prorate the
20 fifty thousand dollars among all claimants in relation
21 to the amounts of the claimants' valid claims.
22 Sec. . EFFECTIVE DATE AND RETROACTIVE
23 APPLICABILITY PROVISION. This Act, being deemed of
24 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment and
25 applies retroactively to April 1, 1995."
26 4. Title page, line 2, by striking the words
27 "livestock and" and inserting the following:
28 "livestock,".
29 5. Title page, line 3, by inserting after the
30 word "species" the following: ", providing for
31 refunds, and including an effective date and
32 retroactive applicability provision".

The committee amendment H-8032 was adopted.

Hoffman of Crawford moved that the bill be read a last time now
and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill was
read a last time.
